Article Processing Charges

Landscape Architecture is a diamond open access journal. This means that all articles published in the journal are freely available to readers, and authors are not required to pay article processing charges.

The journal does not charge authors for submission, editorial evaluation, peer review, acceptance, publication, online hosting, or access to published articles. There are no mandatory publication fees at any stage of the editorial or production process.

The following charges are not applied by Landscape Architecture:

  • Article processing charge: None
  • Submission fee: None
  • Peer-review fee: None
  • Acceptance fee: None
  • Publication fee: None
  • Page charge: None
  • Figure or table charge: None
  • Color figure charge: None
  • DOI registration charge: None
  • Online access charge: None

Each accepted article is published online without any payment from the author, institution, or funding agency. Authors retain the opportunity to disseminate their research without financial barriers, while readers may access the published content without subscription or paywall restrictions.

Because Landscape Architecture does not charge article processing charges or other mandatory publication fees, authors do not need to apply for fee waivers. The journal’s diamond open access model ensures that publication decisions are based on scholarly quality, editorial suitability, ethical compliance, and peer-review evaluation rather than the author’s ability to pay.

The absence of publication fees does not affect the journal’s editorial standards. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal’s aims and scope, academic merit, originality, methodological soundness, ethical standards, and relevance to landscape architecture and related disciplines.

Editorial decisions are made independently by the editorial team and reviewers. The journal does not accept payment in exchange for manuscript acceptance, accelerated review, guaranteed publication, or favorable editorial treatment.

All articles published in Landscape Architecture are made freely accessible online. Readers may read, download, cite, and share published articles in accordance with the journal’s open access and licensing policies.
